Well, the year is already flying by, winter is here and my daughter is in her second term at primary school. Finding enough time for the pleasurable things in life like stitching is getting harder during the days, but I am finding my evenings are freeing up a bit more as worn out school kids are easier to coax into bed especially now that it is dark earlier.
  Before we launch into the what's new and happening stuff, we would like to say a big thank you to all of you who responded to our recent mail out to past Victoria Ellen customers who we had lost contact with. A number of you have joined our email mailing list and about 130 of you have requested we send you printed copies of the newsletters as you do not have internet access. We really appreciate the feedback we have received from you, and look forward to an ongoing relationship with you. A number of you have been placing orders and keeping Brenda on her toes. We are also pleased to say to those people who email orders to us, with the introduction of Xtra's SPAM filters we should now be able to get to your orders quicker, as we were receiving upward of 200 Spam emails a week, making life extremely difficult for us.
  Now we are covering lots of things in this newsletter, from Afghans, More Shepherds Bush, Jennifer Pudney, Bags by De Selby, Beads, Winnie the Pooh kits and more.  We hope we have something for everyone in this newsletter.    We have had a lot of requests for the  Shepherds bush Cards recently, so thought we had better order some more in. 

  Over the past year we have had great problems with our NZ suppliers when ordering afghans for customers some orders taking 3 or 4 months to fill.  So we are now ordering them directly from the manufacturer in the USA and although we only place orders for them once a month we have halved the waiting time. We have small quantities in stock of the following - The Lady Elizabeth Afghan brings traditional elegance to the art of counted cross-stitch. This beautiful Antique White Afghan measures 48" x 58" and features twenty 14-Count 6 1/2" blocks for stitching, each surrounded by an elegant star weave.

A terrific new Baby Soft Afghan with  a central design area measuring 25" x 21" bordered by 26 three 3/4" blocks. The overall size is 45" x 41". This Afghan is 100% acrylic. When washed the Afghan will become "babysoft".  The Alphabet Afghan has unlimited design potential. The generous 54" x 60" size has a large central design area measuring approximately 30" x 36" and "26 five and one-half" inch square blocks around the outside edge for stitching all the letters in the alphabet. It is 100% cotton and pre-fringed. Nursery Time Baby Afghans measure 38" square and feature 25 six-inch 14-Count blocks for stitching. A simple twill weave divides the blocks. The Rainbow Afghan has solid white squares bordered by pink, blue, and yellow. Machine washable, wrinkle and stain resistant.
